The National Kidney Foundation Professional Councils are pleased to offer educational travel stipends of $500 to help offset travel costs for current members to attend the NKF 2027 Spring Clinical Meetings (SCM27). The stipend award includes complimentary registration to attend SCM27 in-person. SCM27 will take place in Orlando, FL, with pre-conference courses on May 11th and the main conference running from May 12 to 15, 2027.

Current NKF Professional Members of CNNT, CNSW, CAPP, and CRN. Applicable to the following NKF Professional Membership types only:
- Nurse
- Technician
- Social Worker
- Dietitian
- Nurse Practitioner
- Physician Assistant/Associate
- Clinical Nurse Specialist

Please ensure you have an applicable, non-expired NKF Membership and have read and reviewed all requirements below BEFORE submitting an application.
Requirements for stipend recipients:
1.) Must respond to the stipend email notification, following instructions to accept the stipend by the specified deadline. Stipends that are not accepted by the deadline will be awarded to the next member on the waiting list.
2.) Must attend the majority of the NKF 2027 Spring Clinical Meetings (SCM27) in-person. Stipends are not awarded for virtual-only attendance.
3.) Must submit a minimum 250 to maximum 500-word summary report of one (1) SCM session attended after the conclusion of SCM27. Stipend recipient reports will be published in the member-only RenaLink newsletter. Recipients will be contacted by their Council Education Chair with more information ahead of SCM27. In lieu of submitting a written session summary, the stipend recipient may instead agree to participate in a short video interview Q&A session on-site at SCM27. Time, date, and location will be provided to the stipend recipient. When completing your application, you will either select a written session summary report or a video Q&A.
Note: Travel stipends are given based on merit and completion of the following application form.
Stipend notification and procurement:
1.) Stipend notifications will be sent to the email provided in this form by Friday, January 29, 2027.
2.) Awardees will be required to accept their stipend by submitting a completed W-9 form along with written confirmation of intent to attend SCM27 in person in Orlando, FL, by the provided deadline.
3.) Stipends will be paid out via paper check. Recipients must pick up their stipend check in person at the SCM27 Information Desk in Orlando, FL. A valid photo ID is required for pick up.
